Traveling to a country or location where drinking water hygiene isn’t so good? Then Care Plus® Hadex® is a must-have in your toiletry bag, suitcase, or backpack. Our Hadex® drinking water disinfectant is designed to disinfect drinking, pump, well, or tap water in areas (or locations) where the quality is questionable or where its reliability is insufficient. Hadex® can be used to disinfect water if you don’t have the option of boiling it.
Care Plus® Hadex® contains the correct chlorine solution that deactivates bacteria in water. To prevent bacteria, protozoa, parasites, and microplastics, we recommend combining a Care Plus® water filter with Hadex®.

Hadex is suitable for drinking water tanks on recreational boats, inland vessels, caravans and camper vans. Add one bottle (30 ml) to the tank at the start of the season, for the first filling of at least 150 litres of water. Caution! Hadex® should be kept in the supplied plastic bag during transportation to prevent staining in case of leakage. Care Plus® Hadex® is not combustible or explosive. When to use Hadex®?
Contaminated drinking water is often the cause of gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea) and diseases such as (para)typhoid, dysentery, cholera, etc. When you travel or venture into the wilderness, you often don’t have access to drinking water of the quality you’re used to. You don’t want to just drink it. We therefore recommend taking additional measures to purify drinking water. The special chlorine solution in
Care Plus® Hadex® makes the water from pipes, springs, and wells reliable. Hadex® is highly effective and can be used safely for extended periods.
Tip! Prepare a supply of disinfected drinking water for a few days by, for example, disinfecting one or more bottles of water and storing them in the refrigerator. This way, you’ll always have cool and reliable drinking water available.
Why do you need clean drinking water?
Clean drinking water: we can’t live without it. You’re made up of about 75% water, and all your organs, tissues, and cells need to stay sufficiently hydrated. The water in your body also has a cleansing function because it helps remove waste. Therefore, it’s essential to drink pure water. Cleansing your body naturally involves clean water.
Does Hadex® also filter chlorine?
No, Hadex® does not filter chlorine. The active ingredient in Hadex® is sodium hypochlorite (chlorine).
How much Hadex® should I use?
When using Hadex®, maintain the following dosage:
- 2 drops of Care Plus® Hadex ® for a 200 ml glass of water
- 10 drops of Care Plus® Hadex ® for one liter of water
Stir or shake briefly after adding. After 30 minutes of application, the water will be purified into truly clean drinking water, and the odor and taste of the chlorine solution will be gone. The water is now safe for consumption.

Where can I find the expiration date of the product?
The expiration date is printed on the bottom of the box (stored at 20°C). The product will last longer in the dark and at lower temperatures.
