Accidents can happen
Accidents can happen when you’re on holidays, during outdoor activities or in and around the house. It is therefore important to keep a first aid kit at hand. When you’re travelling, you need different products than at home or in the car. Especially in a warm climate, like subtropical regions, the chance of wounds getting infected is greater. In addition to wound care, a tick remover, foot care (blisters) and treatment to extract venom after bites and stings are recommended. Ensure your trip is not affected by little accidents.
Always a First Aid kit at hand
Medical resources in foreign countries are often not of the same standards as in the Netherlands and Belgium. Scarcity of – often not-sterile – needles, syringes and other medical resources that go into the skin, increase the risk of infection with an infectious disease. Prevent a tick bite
Tick pincers are an absolute must-have. In the Netherlands, around 15% of ticks are infected with the Borrelia bacteria that causes Lyme disease.
