Niet alle ge\u00efnfecteerden vinden (tijdig) een ziekenhuis waar de diagnose gesteld kan worden, laat staan dat er een tijdige behandeling gestart kan worden.<\/p>\n<p><strong>25 april is het Wereld Malaria Dag<\/strong>. Ieder jaar op deze ene dag staat malaria op wereldwijde schaal in de picture. Dat wil overigens niet zeggen dat malaria dan evenveel (media)aandacht krijgt als corona. Sterker nog, het sneeuwt dit jaar volledig onder. Bij de Travel Health Group denken we daar heel anders over. Bij Care Plus\u00ae denken we daar heel anders over.<\/p>\n<p>Malaria is een vermijdbare infectieziekte. Immers, als je niet gebeten wordt door de mug die met de malariaparasiet in haar lijf rondvliegt, krijg je g\u00e9\u00e9n malaria. Het is dus goed te voorkomen. Vandaar ook ons grote belang bij educatie en focus op preventie!<\/p>\n<p>Laten we nu w\u00e9l eens malaria in het nieuws zetten, al is het alleen maar op Wereld Malaria Dag, op 25 april. Het thema is \u201czero malaria starts with me\u201d. Ik trek me dat aan. Iedereen kan zich dat aantrekken. Er zijn vele initiatieven op internet te vinden die bijdragen leveren aan \u201czero malaria\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Bij Travel Health Group \/ Care Plus hebben we al jaren een duidelijke visie: \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.careplus.eu\/nl\/malaria-free-world-2030\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">een malariavrije wereld in 2030<\/a>\u201d. In 2015 hebben dit doel nog concreter gemaakt, in lijn met de doelstelling van de Wereldgezondheidsorganisatie destijds. Voor dit doel zet ons team iedere dag de wekker en weten we zakenpartners te enthousiasmeren.<\/p>\n<p>Wij hebben dit voor onszelf heel concreet gemaakt: 1% van onze omzet gaat naar dit hogere doel om de wereld malariavrij te maken in 2030. Concreet doen wij die met onze &#8217;Buy One Give One&#8217; campagne. Iedereen die een Care Plus<sup style=\"font-size:10px;\">&reg;<\/sup> product koopt, bijvoorbeeld een klamboe of een anti-insect product, zorgt ervoor dat wij hiermee gezinnen kunnen beschermen in malariagebieden door daar ge\u00efmpregneerde en geprinte muskietennetten te verdelen.<\/p>\n<p>Ook ondersteunen we innovaties en toepasbaar wetenschappelijk onderzoek dat bijdraagt ons hogere doel.
