How to use Anti-Insect Icaridin?

Which insect repellent do you choose?
There are several substances effective against mosquitoes and ticks such as DEET, lemon eucalyptus oil and Icaridin. If you want to protect yourself from insect bites, choose to buy a product that contains any of these substances. DEET is an effective mosquito repellant, but a product with a high concentration of DEET (40 or 50%) is not suitable for young children under 13 years of age. Can’t or don’t want to use mosquito repellent with DEET? Then Care Plus Anti-Insect Icaridin® is a great alternative. Anti-Insect Icaridin is suitable for children from 3 years old and has a pleasant scent and a soft feeling on the skin. This mosquito repellent has the added benefit of not affecting plastics such as eyeglass frames, photographic and cinematographic equipment, and lacquered table tops (unlike products containing DEET).

What is the active substance in Anti-Insect Icaridin?
Care Plus Anti-Insect Icaridin® contains sec-butyl 2- (2-hydroxyethyl) piperidine-1-carboxylate (CAS nr 119515- 38-7). Care Plus® Anti-Insect Icaridin aerosol contains 20% Icaridin. Its action as an anti-insect agent has been scientifically proven in the laboratory and by field studies.
Care Plus® Anti-Insect Icaridin is registered by Tropenzorg BV as a biocide and meets (when used in accordance with regulations) all requirements regarding its efficacy as an insect repellent and the safety of humans, animals and the environment.
Can I also use this product during pregnancy or breast feeding?
Vulnerable groups such as pregnant women, nursing mothers and children under 3 years old cannot use Icaridin. In this case, choose Care Plus ® Anti-Insect Natural based on lemon eucalyptus extract (Citriodiol®). This powerful insect repellent can already be used on children from 3 months. If this alternative is not available, use a maximum of DEET 30%.
Which variant should I use?
